Fulcrum Asset Management, a hedge fund and wealth management business set up by the former chief economist of Goldman Sachs, Gavyn Davies, has appointed two more ex-Goldman Sachs senior managers to its ranks, according to Financial News.
Hassim Dhoda and David Kaplan join six other former Goldman Sachs colleagues running the Semper Marco hedge fund.
The FN report said Mr Kaplan left Goldman Sachs last June where he was a partner and joined Fulcrum last month. Mr Dhoda left Goldman Sachs in 2004 and has since been working with Tudor Capital, a US hedge fund.
Fulcrum was set up by Mr Davies and Andrew Stevens in 2004. Mr Stevens runs the wealth management part of the business.
Christian Siva-Jothy, the former global head of foreign exchange and proprietary trading at Goldman Sachs, joined Fulcrum in 2005 and now runs its hedge fund business.
The firm has more than £1 billion ($1.73 billion) assets under management and recently closed its Semper Macro hedge fund with $1.3 billion under management.

Christian Siva-Jothy, the former global head of foreign exchange and proprietary trading at Goldman Sachs, has joined Fulcrum Asset Management, a wealth management and hedge fund business set up by the former chief economist of the American bank, Gavyn Davies, according to report in the UK-based Financial News.
Mr Siva-Jothy, who left Goldmanâs at the end of last year, will run Fulcrumâs hedge fund business, which started trading in May as Semper Macro and opened to third-party investors in June.
Fulcrumâs wealth management operations is run by Andrew Stevens, also formerly with Goldman Sachs.
Fulcrum is registered in Grand Cayman and has been reported to manage around £1 billion ($1.7 billion) in clientsâ assets, although this has not been verified.
Mr Davies has been very busy after he resigned his chairmanship of the BBC last year following an inquiry into the broadcasterâs coverage of the run-up to the war in Iraq.
