"The audience should trust this storyteller. The destination is worth the journey.” -Arts ATL
In this intensely personal one-man play, actor James Morrison recounts his beloved son's struggle with and ultimate recovery from brain cancer. It is a tale of losing a language and learning a new one, of a child teaching the parent, and the power of hope in the darkest of times. James takes you on a journey that affirms love and human connection as the antidote to fear and despair.
Written and Performed by James Morrison
Directed by Robert Egan
An extremely moving play by an extremely moving performer. I was moved by this powerful story about the love of a father battling for his son against a life-threatening illness and a challenging medical care system. - Norman Lear
“There is a gentle naturalness to Morrison’s script... It is as though he is having a simple conversation with you and you alone.
Morrison is an empowered human being who is the most human a being you will encounter on any stage this summer.”
