Biographical / Historical
John Neufeld was born December 14, 1938 in Chicago, IL and earned a BA from Yale University in 1960. Throughout his career he has worked as an editor, teacher, television scriptwriter and copywriter. He has won several awards for his children's books including the Book of the Year citation from Timemagazine in 1968 for his first book, Edgar Allan.

Dr. John Neufeld is a graduate of Columbia Bible College (Biblical Studies), the University of Saskatchewan (B.A.), Fuller Theological Seminary (M.Div.) and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (D.Min.). Dr. Neufeld has been in pastoral ministry since 1976, serving in churches in Saskatchewan, California and British Columbia, both as a church planter and senior pastor. He is passionate about preaching the Word of God and does so through expositional preaching. John has spoken and taught at numerous churches and seminars throughout North America and is known nationally and internationally for excellence in expositional Bible teaching.
After 35 years behind the pulpit, 15 as the senior pastor of one of the largest churches in Canada, God recently opened a new door for John to become the first Canadian teacher at Back to the Bible Canada.
John and his wife Kathy have been married for 36 years. They have three adult children and five grandchildren.
John is an original Council Member for TGC Canada.
