1)Sevin is rapper from Sacramento, CA, who put together the international ministry and musical collaboration known as HOG MOB. HOG MOB is an acronym that stands for: “HOOK’D ON GOD–MINISTRY OVA BIZNESS."
Sevin emerged on the scene at age 17 with his debut Gospel Rap album “All or None”. This was a very powerful nationwide release and is still available on shelves in many Christian book and record stores today.
Immediately after the release of the album Sevin began touring and ministering the Gospel through Rap music. In his time he has traveled on a European Tour, which included ministering in London, Belgium, Canada and other places including Jamaica as well as all across the United States. He specialized in bringing the gospel to the youth on the streets that might not have the message of Jesus Christ but through rap music.
He has ministered along side some of the great names in Gospel music including, Kirk Franklin, The Kenoly Brothers, The Gospel Gangstaz, and many more. HOG MOB ministries was founded in 2000 by Sevin, a former "BLOOD" gang member from Oak Park, a notorious drug and gang infested neighborhood of Sacramento, Ca. After coming to saving faith in Jesus Christ, Sevin set out to create what he believed was the kind of fellowship Jesus always intended for us to have, but the streets have perverted. Since then Hog Mob has grown with members all over the country as well as having many community-based discipleship facilities and projects.
HOG MOB is an acronym that stands for: “HOOK’D ON GOD-MINISTRY OVA BIZNESS”. What this basically means is, we addictively desire and actively pursue a relationship with the one true and living God. We also choose to live a life that serves his purpose not our own.
As a whole, Hog Mob Ministries is an urban accountability and discipleship fellowship that focuses on living out biblical fellowship with brothers in Christ all over the world as well as helping those who are unaware of the "good news" of the Gospel to come to faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior.
